TOFT India Wildlife Association (Travel Operators for Tigers) is a collective of responsible wildlife travel operators, naturalists, hoteliers, and conservation advocates, united in one mission — to ensure that India’s wild lands and wildlife are protected through the power of sustainable tourism.
Established in 2004, TOFT India pioneered the concept of “conservation through tourism” in South Asia. What began as a small campaign has evolved into a movement — connecting governments, park authorities, and tourism professionals to promote responsible wildlife travel that directly benefits local communities and nature conservation.
“Our vision is simple — thriving wildlife destinations that uplift the people who protect them.”
Managing the internationally recognized PUG Eco-Rating System for lodges and camps, assessing environmental and social performance.
Organizing workshops for guides, naturalists, and park staff to enhance knowledge and visitor experiences.
Working with government bodies and conservation NGOs to influence wildlife tourism policy and sustainable management practices.
Supporting local livelihoods through responsible employment and skill development programs linked to eco-tourism.
Conducting studies and audits to measure tourism’s impact on wildlife, habitats, and communities.
Whether you are a travel operator, lodge owner, conservationist, or a nature lover, your involvement strengthens our collective goal — safeguarding the wild for generations to come.
